NYS Men's Mid-Amateur Championship

General Information
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: Be a member of the NYSGA, defined as either (1) belonging to an NYSGA member club or (2) joining the NYSGA as an 2019 NYSGA eClub member. Note, to be eligible to compete as an NYSGA eClub member, entrants must also be a NYS resident.
- Handicap: Have a USGA Handicap Index issued by an NYSGA member club of 10.4 or less at the time of registration.
- Age: Be at least 25 years old as of September 27, 2019.
- Players cannot have already attempted to qualify at another sectional qualifier.
Entry Fee
$125 (includes cart)
Field Size
The field will be limited to the first 40 players to register. Any player to register after this limit has been reached will be added to a wait list ordered by their time of registration.
Pairings and Starting Time
Will be posted on Monday, September 23 at 6pm.
Qualifying Spots
There are 5 qualifying spots available. If there is a tie for the last qualifying spot, the place winner will be determined with a hole-by-hole playoff.
Golf Carts
The use of a golf cart is included in the entry fee for this qualifier, although their use is not required. The NYSGA's One-Seat Policy is in effect, which permits only the player or his caddie to ride at one time. Please review this document if you plan on riding a cart in this qualifier.
Push Carts
Players are permitted to use push carts, whether motorized or manual, during this qualifier.
Caddies
The use of a caddie is permitted for all rounds of this championship. The player must provide his own caddie, as none are available through the host club.
Withdrawals
If you must withdraw, please contact the NYSGA office at 315-471-6979 or email NYSGA Intern Ryan Doyle at rdoyle@nysga.org. The entry fee will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of entries, less a $20 service fee. A refund of $50 will be issued if notice is received 48 hours prior to the start of the player's assigned qualifier.
Dress Code
Players are required to wear neatly pressed, traditionally accepted golf attire. If a contestant is found to be wearing clothing contrary to this or is wearing acceptable clothing in a non-traditional manner, he will be asked to make the necessary corrections or risk the penalty of disqualification.
